Playwrighting & Screenwriting

After training at drama school, I won a Playmarket New Zealand Young Playwright Award in 2000.

In 2008, I toured my one man show ‘Fear of Projection’ to both the Brighton & Edinburgh Fringe festivals (“Brilliantly Bizarre” Three Weeks Edinburgh ★★★★, “Hilarious” Fringe Review ★★★★).

In the comedy, a power point projector, revealed to be sentient, can communicate through slides, and instigates a romantic relationship with Edward, the professor using the projector to give a talk to the audience about artificial intelligence. Yes, it was very strange.

I’ve also written an (as yet unproduced) TV pilot based on my experience of being a befriender at Barnardo’s UK.

You can hear about my experience volunteering in an interview on BBC Radio 1 here.

Please contact me (or my agent) if you’d like to discuss a theatre or screenwriting project.
